Bojana Ginn, a Serbian-born contemporary artist, commissioned Asoko to curate an exhibition that was accessible to the public and different from typical gallery shows. The former 2016 Venice Biennale artist fuses architecture, organic material, and light into immersive spatial installations. In collaboration with curator Chris Fernald, we selected a shuttered mechanic shop as the exibition destination. As a team, we revitalized the space, installed the light structures, designed exhibition material, and produced an exhibition film.
The project gathered attention from acclaimed art professionals and over 300 community members. Including: Victoria Camblin, Michael Rooks, Susan Bridges, Logan Lockner, Tash Nikol, and much more.
